Can you imagine a PDA without a touchscreen? With no screen at all? It is easier to imagine this when you take in consideration people who do not need any sort of imaging device - yes, blind people. It is hard for them to use modern gadgets, because they all require you to see the screen to operate, especially PDAs where all control is made using touchscreen. Unfortunately, no PDA manufacturer takes in consideration this fact when designing a new model - seems like no one really cares. But that’s not true - there are manufacturers who care.

Turn your IR remote control into a radio based one

Remote controllers, while very handy, have one flaw - they are intended for use only with one device, and have a limited operating range. They operate via infrared rays, so you must point it directly at your device, and be assured that nothing is in the way. If you think that this problem is still unsolved you are wrong.

Train your boxing skills with slam man

We often use dummies to practice boxing, usually just bags with sand hanging on a rope. They are good for training your punches, but you would need an instructor that will aid you to train effectively and not just continuously punch in one place. If you think that you do not need an instructor, or just do not want to pay for his services - then this boxing trainer can be a useful purchase.

Mustek Digital Picture Frames: Big and Small

Since digital picture frames are quite the hit for this year’s Christmas season, it stands to reason that more companies are putting out quite a few, in all varieties.

Such is the case of Mustek. One of their newest models is the PF-i700, a very cool digital frame made for the iPod. All you need to do is just plug it in, and you’ll be seeing your favorite pictures for the iPod on a 7-inch LCD panel. The screen is also a 16 x 9 aspect ratio with a low resolution 480 x 234 screen.

Details on the PF-i700 are a little sketchy, but I would think that Mustek would put some speakers or headphone jack in there. I mean, why not put in music if you can do pictures?

Anyway, the PF-i700 will be available in March. However, there is a tiny picture frame that is available now called the PF-L100. This one doesn’t even have a screen that is 1 inch, but is a simple keychain that plugs into the USB.

CES 2008 led to lots of great discoveries, and one of them was found in Skull Candy. I have to admit that I hadn’t heard of Skull Candy before, and it kind of sounds like some candy in the shape of skulls.

However, Skull Candy is aptly named because it is like candy to your skull, and one of their newest products illustrates that. This product, the iPhone FMJ, are precision headphones that are compatible with the iPhone and the Blackberry Curve phone.

As you can see by the picture, they are equipped with an aluminum housing and noise isolating ear buds. It also has a high-end micro switch connect and disconnect feature.
